Stroller For Toddler

Why Are These Strollers So Popular
Low Price Compact Light weight Good up to 50 lbs

Stroller For Toddler

We have always found this stroller to be light and easy to use. We love the fact that it folds up so flat and is easy to stow away. It takes up hardly any room in the trunk of our car.

Our little lad appears very happy and comfortable either when sitting up or when reclined. He is also safe, being held in place, with the 5 part harness. When he feels like sleeping we simply recline the seat and he nods off in no time at all.

We bought the First Years Ignite Stroller mainly because it was a good price and the fact that it is so compact in size. It is fine for short journeys on normal smooth surfaces but because of the small wheels it is not too good on rough ground.

That however, is not a problem for us as we live in the city and mainly use the stroller on the sidewalks. Having said that, we do go to the park sometimes and it is good on short grass.

So How Do You Find The First Years Ignite On Sale?

There are several stores that sell these Strollers online. Some of them have discounts and some of them have regular low prices. Some stores offer free shipping, and if you need to return your stroller - return shipping is free too.

So you need to know how to find these stores among the large number of sites that sell strollers. You will also need to know how to pick the one that will give you the best price as well as good service and prompt delivery. You can spend a lost of time searching online at the varies sites, but this is very time consuming, or you can find somebody who knows all about finding coupons and savings and see what they have found.

To save you time we have done the searching for you and found very good discounted prices at the link below.

Make a Fairy Garden For Your Kids Party

A fairy garden is a great kids party activity, especially if your theme is a fairy party, garden party, or tea party. A dinosaur den or construction site garden is a fun alternative
for little boys too. Here's how to make a magical miniature garden kids will love.

Stroller For Toddler

This project is a truly unique kids party activity, combining fun, fantasy, and learning. Kids love getting their hands dirty and learning how things grow. They will also love the idea of making a magical garden place for a fairy to live.

Stroller For Toddler

A miniature garden takes little space and can rest on a tabletop. Maintenance requires only a light misting from time to time and watching for fairies to come to call. Just kidding about that last part, but you never know...

Start by collecting various containers such as woven baskets, large shallow bowls or deep dish clay saucers (like a birdbath), or even discarded bureau drawers. Check yard sales for innovative ideas and inexpensive materials.

Next, supply potting soil and a selection of small plants that will reach under a foot when fully grown. Dwarf zinnias, marigolds, violets, ivy, baby's tears and sprigs of vinca are all good choices.

There are many types of mosses that will work nicely too, fitting into corners and small areas easily to add texture and interest. A variety of low-growing herbs such as thyme and rosemary lend aroma to the mix as well.

Start by lining your garden container with heavy duty plastic, fill to within an inch of the top with potting soil then kids are ready to landscape the top. Let them choose their favorite diminutive plants, interspersing them with various materials to add charm and character to the fairy garden.

For example, turn a colorful plant pot on its side and submerge it halfway in the soil to serve as a proper fairy dwelling. Add dollhouse sized furniture to set in the garden, popsicle sticks to construct a fairy fence, or small flat rocks to make a wonderful stepping stone path.

A small mirror symbolizing water making a faux gazing pool. The round flat glass beads used in vases make nice accent pieces too. Tiny garden accessories like terra cotta pots and shovels give your garden a "lived-in" look.

Fairy gardens needn't be for little girls only. Boys can make a miniature dinosaur den using many of the same materials. Herbs, moss and other green plants can make a forest or wooded area in which small plastic dinosaurs return from extinction to live another day. Soil mounded to one side forms a volcano, spilling red aquarium stone lava.

A construction site garden is another option for boys. Tiny rocks, stick logs, and craft stick lumber can be stacked up waiting for the big rigs to move them. Small toy bulldozers and cranes can be scattered about, among the plantings.

These whimsical gardens can go wherever your child's imagination takes them. You provide the materials, they supply the ideas and creativity. Planting and maintaining a miniature
garden teaches kids about plants, caring for living things, and most all the fun of gardening.

Baby Strollers on Parade

One of the charms of small town living is frequent parades.  My town scarcely needs an excuse to march into the street.  Most of our parades are loosely organized affairs, though the person in charge looks really busy with a bull horn and clip board.  We take to the streets to celebrate American and traditional religious holidays as often as possible.

Stroller For Toddler

Invariably, planned or not, there is at least one rolling group in the parade made up of kids on bikes and parents pushing strollers.  This participation is often encouraged with contests, namely decorate your stroller or bike contests.  Today we are going to talk only about decorating your baby stroller.

Stroller For Toddler

Safety First

Never alter your stroller in any way that impedes its basic safety features such as harnesses and brakes.  Attach decorations securely and keep an eye out that baby doesn't find bunting tastier than strained peas.

Materials

I find inspiration and inexpensive materials in the seasonal section of my local discount stores, large discount merchandisers and craft stores.  One trip to the tree trimming aisle during Christmas is all you will need to create a magical holiday themed stroller.  Need more inspiration?  I have one word for you: piñatas.  You can use piñatas as your jumping off point for many themes and ideas.  You can even reuse them with a bit of glue.

Use Your Imagination

I like to free associate to stimulate my creative side.  I can pick up a string of Christmas lights and envision them intertwined through plastic boughs, securely fastened to the sides of my stroller.  Add some balls and a star at the top and you have a rolling Christmas tree.

Too Much Is Not Possible

This is exactly the time to reach for the ridiculous.  You can't overdo decorating a baby stroller.  Half of the fun is seeing who can come up with the most outrageous idea.  And don't forget to decorate the passenger.  Reindeer antlers attached to a comfy knit cap and a bit of rouge on the nose and you have Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on board.

No Parade?

Make your own.  Invite your neighbors to a block parade.  Ask everyone to help their kids decorate their wheels and take a spin around the block.  In the summer, early evening is a good time to schedule your parade so the maximum number of people will be at home.  In colder weather, aim for a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Speak with your spiritual leader about having a contest/parade at your local place of worship.  Or ask the manager of your local mall.  If you think you will have enough people participating, call your local newspaper for coverage.  And remind the participants to bring their cameras.

Car Games For Kids

Anyone who has traveled with a child is familiar with the "I'm bored" statement, usually repeated numerous times by all children present. In order to eliminate this complaint try the following car games for kids.

Stroller For Toddler

Bingo

Stroller For Toddler

Most of us have played bingo, but this game is a different version of the one most commonly played. Each child is given a bingo card with the names of fast food restaurants, gas stations, and hotels. The goal is to find a bingo by looking for the places on the card and checking them off when they have been spotted. If a child is too young to use a crayon or pen, you can check them off for them.

Camera Searches

Each kid is given a portable, or digital, camera and a list of objects. The list of objects can be anything, such as an all-white horse, a yellow house, or two birds in the same tree. Make the list at least as long as the camera allows. If using film cameras that have 24 exposures then put at least 24 things on the list.

If you have a digital camera that holds up to 100 pictures then put at least 100 items on the list. The goal is for the kids to take pictures of these items along the way, and whoever has the most pictures of items on the list at the end wins. Finding car games for kids that hold their attention can be challenging, but this one is sure to do the job.

The Car Game

Write the names of cars on index cards. Use the make and model for a more challenging game, or just the make for a simpler one. The person who sees a car that matches what is written is handed that index card. The person who ends up with the most cards wins. Another alternative is to make an index card for all 50 states and the person who spots a license plate with that state on it get the corresponding index card.

Story Telling

Tell fun stories about people and have them guess who you are talking about. You can use fictional characters, such as Cinderella or Harry Potter, or you can use people in your family. If using people in your family make sure they are fun stories that will not upset anyone. An example of a story would be saying "Out of my seven closest companions, one has allergies, or seems to because he sneezes a lot, and one is always in a bad mood." Who am I talking about? Snow White, of course.

You can also let the kids take turns telling the story and you can guess who they are referring to, since car games for kids are often more successful at holding their attention if they involve them more.

Being stuck in a car with bored and discontent kids can be avoided. Just prepare in advance to play these car games for kids and everyone will be smiling.

Double Strollers - What Do You Really Need?

Is baby number two on the way or are you expecting twins? Then you definitely need a double stroller. Before you begin your search among the countless models that are available, you need to determine what your stroller needs are for your particular lifestyle. For example, it doesn't make sense to purchase the same stroller your best friend raves about if you're an avid jogger and her favorite hobby is shopping. To help you narrow down the possibilities, answer the eight following questions.

Stroller For Toddler

1. What activities do you need a double stroller for?

Stroller For Toddler

Do you do most of your shopping in malls? Do you like to jog or take long walks around the neighborhood in all types of weather? Are you a frequent traveler? The activities you do most often will decide what type of double stroller you should choose, whether it be a regular double mall stroller, a lightweight (ex. umbrella) double stroller, a double jogging stroller or a double all-terrain stroller.

2. Which seating design would best suit your needs?

Double strollers come in two seating designs: tandem (one seat in front of the other) or side-by-side. Both designs have their advantages and disadvantages, so it's important for you to think carefully about what your lifestyle will be like with twins or two children of different ages (although this is not easy to do before actually living through it!).

3. What are the ages and temperaments of your children?

Your stroller needs will be slightly different if you're the parents of twins than if you have a baby and an older child. Some double strollers are true twin strollers, meaning they have features that are meant to accommodate two children of the same age, such as the ability to clip in two infant car seats. There are also double strollers that are designed so that a toddler can sit in the front seat where he can have a better view and more legroom while baby brother or sister sleeps comfortably in the fully reclining rear seat.

Many parents find that side-by-side double strollers help keep the peace between children because they prevent arguments about who gets to sit in the front seat. On the other hand, being side-by-side can also create other problems with the two children sitting in such close proximity.

4. How often are you going to use the double stroller?

If you're only planning on using a stroller for quick errands to the mall a couple times a week, you don't need to purchase a heavy-duty, high-end double stroller with all the bells and whistles. However, if you like going for walks or runs on a daily basis, or if you go out with your children often and for long periods of time, you should consider getting something that is comfortable and durable, since double strollers take twice the abuse of single strollers.

5. Who will be using the stroller?

Keep in mind the height and stride of the person or persons who will be using the double stroller the most, as well as their physical strength. It's no fun pushing a stroller with a handle that is too low or too high for comfort and neither is folding and picking up one that is cumbersome. It's true that double strollers are heavier and bulkier than single strollers due to their very nature, but there are models on the market that are easier to handle than others.

6. What features are you looking for?

Do you want a simple, no frills double stroller, or something with lots of comfort, durability and storage space? This brings us back to the types of activities you do most often. It's very disappointing to purchase a stroller and then realize that its features don't meet your needs as well as they could have.

7. How much space do you have for transporting and storing it?

With a few exceptions, double strollers take up a lot of room. The size of your vehicle may be a big deciding factor when choosing a double model. Make sure it fits! Also, take into account where you will store the stroller at home.

8. What can you afford?

This is probably the most important question of all. Think carefully of your present and future stroller needs with your two children. What is the minimum you are willing to live with? Can you afford to pay for a higher quality double stroller that will make your life easier in the long run, or are you willing to take your chances with a budget stroller that may break down before you're done using it? For twins, a double universal car seat carrier (stroller frame) is an inexpensive alternative to buying an actual stroller during the infant stage if you're yet not sure what you'll need later on.

Once you've determined what you really need, then you can begin researching the various brands and models that are on the market. You will be able to quickly eliminate strollers that don't fit your criteria, making the whole process a lot easier and less time-consuming.

Wooden Outdoor Playsets Are Fun For Kids

Most children love to play outside. One way to help them is by installing wooden play structures that are safe and fun. While many people choose metal, because of its durability and low cost, the sad fact is that it's not as safe, and it's a lot less visually attractive. If you want to get the best playset possible for your child, choose a wooden outdoor playset.

Stroller For Toddler

Wood is much less dangerous when heated than either plastic or metal, the other two popular playset materials. You don't have to worry about summer play causing burns or discomfort if you choose wood. It also deals with moisture and cold better, meaning that there'll be no problems with skin sticking to a cold metal swing set. Wood holds up well in the long term with proper care, too. There's no danger of rust, and mold or mildew are easily removed.

Stroller For Toddler

There's no problem with peeling paint when you install a wooden play structure, either. Metal structures, painted with inexpensive paint, often peel and rust later one. Small children may eat this paint, and animals may be exposed to it, plus it's unattractive. Wooden playhouses don't need paint, since they weather well and are naturally attractive. They may need periodic sanding to avoid splinters, but this is a simple process.

You can find many different sizes and styles of wooden play structures. There are prefabricated tree houses, adventure playsets, slides and swings, and plenty of other options. Almost anyone can find a wooden outdoor playset that'll work for their family. These sturdy structures will last for years, which is a good thing for families with multiple children. A wooden playset in your backyard can also be a good social area for kids from the neighborhood, though you should always make sure that any children playing on your property are properly supervised. Wooden outdoor playsets make great places to play pretend, whether your child wants a fort, a pirate ship, or a jungle hideout. There's a lot of imagining going on in most outdoor playsets.

Do your research before you buy, to find the best playset for your kids. You might be able to purchase one locally, at a hardware or home store. If not, there are lots of locations online that'll send you a kit. You can install wooden outdoor playsets yourself, or hire a local contractor to do the work for you. Once you've got it set up, however, your wooden play structure is ready for fun. A little maintenance every few months will keep it in great shape, and make it safe and entertaining for your children.
